Covid-19 latest news12 May 2020 (by schooladmin) |
Dear Parent/Carer,
As you may have seen last night the Government plans to re-open primary schools for Reception, Y1 and Y6 from the 1st of June.
We are expecting to receive detailed guidance from the Government as to their expectations very soon. Although we have been planning for the possibility of re-opening, we need to see this guidance before we can finalise these plans. I will write to you again as soon as we are in a position to do so – thank you for your patience in the meantime.
I want to assure you that when pupils do return, they will come back to a school that is fully prepared and meets the hygiene and social distancing requirements that Government scientists have advised are necessary.
We will of course, be continuing with our home learning programme until pupils return to school. I appreciate that home learning can prove difficult and, as a school, we will continue to make this as straightforward as possible for you.
For the time being there is no change in guidance. We will continue to provide care for those parents whose work is critical to the COVID-19 response. The school remains closed for all pupils other than those who are already aware that they are able to attend.
All of us look forward to welcoming pupils back to school as soon as it is safely possible. In the meantime, please keep safe and well and continue to support your children to participate in their home learning.
Yours faithfully,
Miss. D. Worthington
