Dear Parent/Carer,
As you may be aware, Calderdale local authority have now advised that they are supporting schools with opening to wider year groups. As stated in the letter (attached - Please note this will not show in the app but will be visible on the website.) they recognise that all schools are different and that each school should proceed with caution and make decisions based on their own individual situations. After careful consideration we have decided that we will open to our Year 1 children on Monday 15th June, whilst remaining open for our current Key Worker and Vulnerable Pupils.
The school will be operating in bubbles and social distancing rules will be in place, more details regarding what school will look like for our Year 1 pupils will be given to those parents. Unfortunately we are unable to offer breakfast club and after school clubs to our returning Year 1 pupils.
We are hoping to be able to open to Year 6 and Reception in the following weeks, we will be contacting those parents as soon as we have more information.
Please be advised that as a parent it is your decision if your child returns to school and you will not be fined or receive any repercussions if you decide that returning at this time is not the right decision for you or your family. Please also refer to the flow chart on the website for advise on families who are living or caring for vulnerable adults and children.
Staff will be contacting all parents of Year 1 children today to confirm if your child will be returning to school on Monday 15th June.
