Wider opening - No more groups18 June 2020 (by schooladmin) |
Dear Parent/Carer,
As promised, I have further details regarding our wider reopening of school.
As you may all be aware staff have been working hard to open school to wider groups of children and follow government guidelines.
We recently opened our doors to the Year 1 pupils and our Year 6 children are returning on Monday 22nd June. We have also seen an increase in the number of Key Worker children that we are providing care for.
We now have 8 ‘bubbles’ working within school. Given our current staff availability, and the number of children who will be attending school as of Monday 22nd of June, this means that unfortunately we are unable to safely open school to any other year groups this academic year.
I understand that quite a few of you will be disappointed with this news. We too are disappointed and have thought long and hard about how we can make this work to enable us to open our doors to as many of our children as possible. The simple fact is that there are not enough people or rooms to make it work with the government expectations right now.
I know that this is not the news that you were expecting to hear. I know that some of you will be unhappy with the decision however from a safety perspective and following government directions this is the only option.
We are now busy making plans for what September will look like for you and your children. Further details will be sent when available.
Yours faithfully,
Miss. D. Worthington
